In January 2021, alongside Alex Cardoso, a professional skateboarder from Brazil, I co-founded the Skateboard Podcast. Our podcast aims to showcase the stories of Brazilian skateboarders who moved to Europe, exploring their journeys as immigrants and their experiences skating in some of the world's best cities due to their unique architecture.
My Role and Contributions:
Conceptualization and Direction: I spearheaded the entire project from the ground up, shaping the content and direction of the podcast.
Visual Identity: Collaborated with our design team to create the podcast's visual identity and developed the motion graphics for the episodes.
Technical Infrastructure: Mapped out and built the technical setup for both studio recordings and live remote sessions across different countries.
Presenter Direction: Directed the presenters during recordings to ensure engaging and coherent episodes.
Sponsorship Acquisition: Assisted in securing sponsors to support the podcast.
Editing and Social Media: Edited full episodes and created engaging social media content highlighting key moments from each episode.
Through this comprehensive approach, we achieved significant engagement on Instagram and YouTube, resonating with a niche and highly discerning audience.
Our success also opened doors for us to travel to different countries, creating content for our audience while representing brands that believe in and support our engagement.
We collaborated with a major Brazilian skate brand, effectively reaching the top skateshops across Brazil with our message.
